Libraries serve as a wonderful, trusted place where anyone can sit and learn, read, and momentarily escape to a new world. And this week just happens to be National Library Week! How has your local library helped you? Share your stories on Twitter using the hashtags #LivesChange and #NLW14.
Libraries are very special to us here at Arbordale, as they provide everyone with a great environment for learning and discovering new things everyday. During this week, however, libraries all over the country are having special events and fun activities to celebrate as a way of thanking their patrons for their support.
The Queens Library in New York has a great exhibit for kids, which allows them to learn in a hands-on environment about everything from bugs to magnets and sound waves. Click here to learn more about this exhibit: http://www.queenslibrary.org/kids/discovery
Also, on April 16, they will have zoologist, Erik Callender, giving a special program about animal adaptations. Click here to learn more: http://www.queenslibrary.org/event/animal-science-workshop
For those on the West Coast, Newport Beach Public Library in California will be hosting a live animal show called “Prehistoric Pets” at their Balboa Branch. Definitely a show both kids and their parents can enjoy! Learn More about this show here: http://www.newportbeachlibrary.org/events?trumbaEmbed=eventid%3D108586710%26view%3Devent%26-childview%3D
If neither of these libraries is close to your home, search your local library to find out what fun activities they have in store for this week!
