Sea Turtle Teaching Activity

Sea turtles have flippers to help them swim instead of claws and/or webbed feet, like other types of land and freshwater turtles. They use their front flippers for swimming and their back flippers for steering. Even if you don’t have a real live sea turtle like Carolina to show you these parts in action, you can use these cutouts to get the idea!

First, right click on the images, save them to your computer, and print them out. Then, cut them out and color each part. Tape your sea turtle’s shell to a paper plate, and then attach the head and flippers. Enjoy your sea turtle!
